    Delta GEMS

    Our girls need us and we are here to answer the call! The Dr. Jeanne L. Noble Delta GEMS Institute is an empowerment program for young ladies between the ages of 14 – 18. The Dr. Betty Shabazz Delta Academy is an enrichment program for girls between the ages of 10 - 14. Committed professional women strive to make a difference in the lives of young ladies in the Inland Empire by meeting monthly with the teens to mentor, teach, talk, listen, and have fun!

    Topics of the monthly workshops include:
    • Self Esteem and Leadership
    • Health Awareness
    • Academic Excellence
    • Personal Responsibility
    • Planning for the Future and Goal Setting
    • Community Service

    Topics are designed to provide interactive lessons and activities that provide opportunities for self-reflection and individual growth.

    Delta Academy

    This program is designed for girls aged 10-14, grades 6-8. Girls are welcome to a program where they will be mentored by the ladies of Delta Sigma Theta sorority. Topics covered in the meetings will be related to college preparation, self-esteem, cultural and political awareness, and healthy lifestyles. Girls will also participate in a book club, where each month a book will be read and discussed. Small registration is fee required, as well as the cost of the books, and t-shirt.

    As President of The Pomona Valley Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, Inc., nestled in the Pomona Valley, San Gabriel Valley, and Inland Empire areas of California, I would like to welcome you to our website.
